Corruption

New Materials for Improving Institutional Efficiency and Integrity

The essay “Ensemble” was written in 2025 for a volume honoring the Anti-Corruption Excellence Award laureates. It makes two core claims.

  • First, combining economic models with successful examples of reform beats either one alone.
  • Second, progress against corruption often hinges on collaboration—across agencies and across the public–private–citizen divide—which is vital, hard, and doable with the right design.

To help you learn and apply economic models and collaborative processes, I’ve created two packages of prompts for Generative AI platforms.

The first package helps you understand and critically assess the economic approach to corruption and anti-corruption and apply it to your specific challenges. The second package takes you step-by-step through the design of the public-private-citizen collaboration.
